Max wants revenge for her sister who a week ago she fought against Lora, but Lora won by cheating and hurt the sister very badly. Lora is a very arrogant fighter who thinks she will have an easy fighter against a beginner. Instead, she gets on the receiving end of a brutal bloody beating and Max avenges his sister.

His acting choice was a surprise for me, he went almost psychotic, but in the story it makes sense, i think you would also go a bit mad if you wanted to avenge your sister from a great harm done.
